the carolina panthers have a reputation foe being a power running team with good pass catching tight ends that can hold a block .the panthers have had hard nosed full backs that could block ,catch a pass or two and occasionally pick up a short 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 2 ..brad hoover is the name that comes to mind when i think of our power run game we even had some decent full backs on the roster last year when cam passed and ran for a record or two ...the dallas cowboys have only been to the play offs 1 time in eleven years since moose johnson left....more after the jump

i am saying all this to say that chud is killing our offense by taking the full back out of the equation the one set back and running the run read option is not the answer for a football team that averaged over 5 yards per carry per running back ....short passes power run game this team will be sunk if we don't go with what we know best ...in the saints game we were 3 inches from getting a first down on the saints 5 yard line ....chud called an option ...really...an option ..needless to say we didn't get it ....but not having a legit full back on the roster is the least of our problems ...where is the aggressive blitz packages that was supposed to make the quarterbacks fear our name ....we have played a soft zone on three pocket passing quarterbacks so far this year ...WHY.....tell me why beason ,davis uncle luke ,and anderson wasn.t doing the funky blitzes we were promised ....tell me why capt munnerlyn is the smallest and lightest but the most aggressive db on the field ....tell me why nakumura is our starting safety (or even in the league for that matter)tell me why the oc cant let cam feel his way through a game with short passes like brady or manning or brees or rodgers ....the problems we have is simple ....go back to playing basic football leave the cute stuff (the options ,trick plays ,funky options )..at home ...and on defense..........blitz ,man to man zone,and blitz some more against pocket passers ...basically do to other teams what the have been doing to us ..........p.s.would have been nice to attempt 1 deep pass thursday .....or stop the short slant or just plain ole play outside the box on defense like atlanta did denver.
