Cat Scratch Reader were remiss last week in further informing you about the new security at Bank of America Stadium this year, and how it will affect you getting to the game tonight, as well as every Sunday this fall.
The NFL have new security guidelines the season, and all 32 teams are forced to have added security, and more screening. Let's face it, we're not the quickest bunch here in the Carolinas. We like to take our time, meander our way to the stadium, and do everything a touch slower than the norm. In past years you could easily tailgate until 12:45 PM, before taking the quick walk to the stadium and still make the kickoff, not so now.
In my experience from preseason, leave yourself a solid 30 minutes to get through the security lines, get wanded or patted down and make it to your seats by game time, and as a pro tip the 'patrons with bags' line moved a lot faster than the others– though your mileage may vary.
Part of making sure BoA is loud and rocking every gameday is getting there on time, and ready to cheer. It's far too easy to miss kickoff with this new security, and everyone attending a game this year should be aware. Were you at last week's game? How was your experience in dealing with the new security measures?
