My thoughts after two games

Our Carolina Panthers played an outstanding game today in all phases while beating the 'Aints. After the game I was looking at some stats and wondering how good/bad is our offense. So I did some quick research and math and this is what I came up with. Please keep in mind that I'm not a statitician. I'm just an armchair coach who loves his Panthers. These numbers are a combination of our 1st two games

Panthers offense has produced 14 plays of 20 yds or more. (with several plays on the bubble at 19 yds)

Rushing avg 114.5 ypg (that is much better looking now)

Passing avg 278 ypg

Cam's averaging 10.95 ypa

Panthers averaging 22.5 ppg

Cam's passer rating is 106.25

We rushed an average 5.3 yds per rush in the Aints game

After seeing these numbers I truly believe that last weeks game was an anomaly. The Bucs have an average defense at best in my opinion. Our O-line just sucked last week. If we can keep up our current averages or very close to them then I can easily see us making deep into the playoffs. The defense is playing much more inspired and alot more physical. There is still room for improvement but I think we'll get better each and every week. Special Teams is improving more and more which is a nice change.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the season and seeing our Panthers go 11-5!!
