Mike Goodson Sustains Serious Injury at Raiders Camp

Stay connected for news and updates

Reports are early, but what we do know is that former Carolina Panthers RB Mike Goodson sustained a helmet-to-helmet hit in Oakland today during Raiders camp, and was unable to leave the field of his own accord. He was placed on a stretcher and taken to hospital for further evaluation. It's too early to intuit what the injury is, but word is the Raiders have elected not to discuss the injury with the media until they are able to address his family. Perhaps that's par for the course, but it doesn't sound good to me.

Goodson spent three years in Carolina before being traded to Oakland early this offseason for offensive tackle Bruce Campbell. While in the area he was a consummate professional, and played well when given the limited opportunity.

Please send your prayers, thoughts, and well wishes to Mike Goodson and his family; as we hope this injury isn't as bad as it initially seems.
