After lastnight's pre season game I went back and forth with myself if I should make a post venting my anger. Ive went back and forth several times and I just concluded I had to get this off my chest because the more I kept in, the more mad I got. I know many people like to just shrug this game off ad just a pre season game but Im sorry I just cant do that. I know its only a exhibition and doesn't mean squat as far as regular season is concerned. But its more than that. What we saw lastnight was a lackluster team that looked embarrising (Rivera's word not mine.) Pre season or not its the principal.

This has been a team that has talked a big game all season long. Im not even referring to Kalil's super bowl ad, I could care less about the ad. What I do care about is all the talk from players and coaches about how they are busting their ass this off season, how Cam has been working extra hard etc etc. What I expected to see lastnight was a team come out and play their heart out pre season be damned. I wanted to see this team set a tone for this season, especially in our own house. Instead what we saw was a piss poor offensive showing by our first team, with the exception of the Brilliant Kuechly, we saw a defense that dare I say looked worse than last year. I saw a special teams unit that looked at their worst.

This loss lastnight really burned me. I think of pre season as a movie preview. A movie preview is meant to rile you up, get you hyped, make you want to say "oh im seeing that opening day." What we saw lastnight was a team that gave 0 effort, showed no improvements from last year whatsoever and top it off it happened in our own house.

And let me just go on the record by saying this. I know Im going to be bashed into the abyss for saying this but if Cam plays like that a few games into the season and we arent winning, It wouldnt hurt my feelings one bit to bench him and start Anderson. Anderson has had a fantastic camp and looked very sharp lastnight and if thats what it takes to win then so be it. After lastnight's performance it makes me wonder of all of Cam's training camp interceptions are signs of things to come this season. Again, I was EXTREMELY angry after lastnight's performance. Pathetic, utterly pathetic.
