In other shock news Garfield likes lasagna!
According to Pro Football Talk we may be getting back Jeff Otah after all.... *sigh*
It was a banner day in the Otah household, and not in that charming, 80's, Judd Nelson spills-his-heart kind of way. It began with him firing his agents for seemingly no apparent reason, moved to him failing his physical being put on the Jets' PUP list, and closed with the news that unless the former Panthers' RT can pass one within a week that the trade finalized yesterday will be voided, sending Otah back to Carolina where he'll mill about for a while, sample the local cuisine, and get jettisoned at the first round of cuts.
This is why we can't have nice things. If there's a saving grace it's that he has no guaranteed money left, so even if cut it's not like Otah will cost the Panthers anything, though it would have been nice to recoup the pick spend in the Louis Murphy trade. I speak in finality because does anyone really think Otah will pass a physical in a week? I mean, seriously?
I'm most curious to see how without an agent or PR team how we'll hear the yearly "Jeff is looking great, and can't wait to get back on the field!" statement from his representation. Perhaps it will get written on a cake of some sort-- a delicious, failure filled cake.
