Refuting earlier reports that the Carolina Panthers were not in attendance for Baylor WR Josh Gordon, head coach Ron Rivera told Joe Person today that the organization were indeed present to watch the enigmatic receiver:
Ron Rivera says Panthers were at Josh Gordon pro day. Could take Gordon in today's supp draft, "depending on what happens in front of us."

It's that second part which is vital, and makes it extremely unlikely the Panthers would take Gordon. I've said that based on what I see from Gordon he's not worth anything more than a 5th round flier, yet it appears teams are swooning over the receiver's potential. The Panthers do not have a 3rd round pick to use from the Frank Alexander trade during the draft which makes it highly unlikely he'll be selected by team as numerous reports are linking various teams to putting in 3rd round claims.
I see the upside, I see the potential-- I don't see said upside and potential being worth any more than a 5th rounder, and even then it's a stretch. We'll know more at 1PM when the supplemental draft takes place, but for now I think it's safe to assume we'll have the same roster tomorrow as we do right now.
