My All Time Favorite Panther Highlight

Stay connected for news and updates

I was asked to share my all-time Panther video highlight and it was an easy call for me. Yes I agree the Super Bowl was full of great plays as was the win over the Eagles to get the Panthers to the SB at the end of the 2003 season. But for me it was the win that got the momentum going for the SB run, the double OT victory over the Rams. In particular the game winning TD pass from QB Jake Delhomme to WR Steve Smith. I wish I could find a video of that play by itself but regardless here is an NFL recap of the game culminating in the play now known in Panther lore simply as X-Clown. Let the memories flow...

This game was special because the Panthers had made such as unexpected march through the season with new found starting QB Jake Delhome and seemed destined to lose this game at several points. Then when Ricky Manning Jr's interception culminated in the TD pass to Smith, I jumped through the roof! What a great feeling.

I found a 46 minute video of the last two minutes of regulation through the game winning catch...after the jump...

46 minute version:
