What are the records set or what history has been made by the Panthers and their players since the franchise joined the league?
1996 - Carolina becomes the first team to play in the division championship in their second year.
Jake Delhomme returning after Tommy John surgery... few if any NFL QB's have accomplished this feat.
Longest punt return during a playoff I believe belongs to a Panther player.
Longest pass during the Super Bowl belongs to a Panther, does it not? From Delhomme to Moose I believe.
Longest reception during the Super Bowl belongs to a Panther also... Moose from Delhomme.
Most tackles plus assists in the Super Bowl goes to Dan Morgan.
2011 - Cam Newton tied the record for a rookie QB throwing 400+ yards in back to back games and came close to breaking it in a 3rd game.
Cam Newton breaking Peyton Manning's rookie passing record.
Thomas Davis playing after 3 ACL surgeries. No one has accomplished this feat. Granted, he hasn't started the season yet but there's hope!
What other records have the Panthers made? What NFL history was made by the franchise?
