Unlike last season when we all wondered if Jimmy Clausen would give up his #2 jersey number to Cam Newton (he didn't by the way) we have no such conflicts this year. The only question was what number would Luke Kuechly take since he cannot wear his #40 from college. So they all now have jerseys numbers but just know these are subject to change once final cuts come prior to the season start.

• LB Luke Kuechly get's the only 50's jersey left, #59. Sam Mills #51 is retired and the remainder are taken. Omar Gaither wore that number last season. This also happens to be HC Ron Rivera's jersey number.
• OG Amini Silatolu was assigned #61, last worn by DT Derek Landri.
• DE Frank Alexander is obviously not scared of any legacies as he will sport #90. I don't think I need to say who wore that number most famously.
• PR Joe Adams is wearing #15, last worn by special teamer Wallace Wright.
• CB Josh Norman has #24, recently worn by RB Andre Brown in 2010. That number has changed hands a good bit recently. Hopefully Norman will sport it for years to come.
• P 'Rad' Brad Nortman is donning #8 which seems appropriate in a 'crazy eight' kind of way
• S DJ Campbell has #26, DeShaun Foster's old number.
