The Panthers have signed every bear they can find. Could this guy be next?
If you're like me and are hung on tenterhooks waiting for the punter compedition to start- well then the Panthers front office just turned up the heat! In a smorgasbord of directional punting prowess we now have the young blood- Brad "The Rad?" Nortman in the blue corner, up against wiley veteran Nick "The quick?" Harris!
The veteran enters the ring with a shockingly low 42.5 yard career average, but don't you dare call him past his prime! He's actually one of the NFL leaders in short punting with 239 punts inside 20 for his career. Furthemore the 11 year veteran went to the university of California, proving the Panthers continue to love Golden Bears.
In all seriousness though- if nothing else Harris will prove a valuable sounding board for our rookie punter, and someone who can offer lessons about directional punting in the NFL. Surely Harris knows his role here wont be to start, but hey- getting the $35-$45 k for attending a training camp isn't chump change.
Tip of the hat to rscott94 for his fanshot.
