This year the NFL has placed a cap on the amount that can be used for UFDA signing bonuses of $76,585. In the past teams could spend as much as they wanted, and some of the richer teams would spend over $100,000 for these signing bonuses, with the Panthers paying as much as $20,000 to individuals.
