Love, love, love the pick of Josh Norman in the 5th. (I have also called the last 3 picks for the Panthers lol) I love the draft, not just because I wanted these last 3 guys but just because all around all of the guys are no boom or bust. They are more a boom or an above average player.
I can finally say Marty Hurney has had a brilliant draft. Alot of people are bashing the second pick and even Luke in the first but these were smart picks.
Luke can play any of the 3 Linebacker spots, even if need be he could play safety if they wanted him too. He was a safety in High School and was signed to be a Safety at BC but moved to Linebacker once Mark Herzlich went down. He is a tackling machine and will be all over the field making plays.
Silatolu will pay off people need to stop bashing because they know nothing about him, never watched film on him and just because he plays D-II does not mean he was a bad pick. He was considered a very possible first round pick by almost every scout in the nation.
Alexander has a huge motor and a tough son of a gun, he can thrive in a couple years playing behind CJ, possibly could beat out Hardy if he works hard enough. He is probably a better 3-4 stand up DE/blitzing LB but with Rivera wanting to run some 3-4 Packages he could be a very good player in sub packages as well as working to be a better 4-3 end.
Joe Adams is a pick many were basically praying for because of his return ability, he will probably also be a gunner on punts if they work him there, which I hope they do.
Now drafting Josh Norman is something I have been hoping for since rumors of us trading up in the 3rd round and happy he dropped to us in the 5th. Probably because he ran a 4.65 at the combine and his pro day but this kid has long arms and attack the ball good and not just a risky attacker like Gamble but a smart attacker, reminds me a lot of Asante Samuel in his prime type of player.
