What in the world is going on with Costal Carolina's CB Josh Norman's draft stock?
After jumping up out of nowhere at his college all-star game into a likely 2nd round pick, he's recently slid back a little, first into the 3rd round, then into the 4th round in the last week. Then suddenly today, nfldraftscout dropped him around 100 draft slots from their rankings of only 3 days ago, without an explaination. They now rank Norman as the draft's 215th best player, a 7th round pick.
Does anyone know why this may have happened? It can't be that they are just now seeing his Combine numbers, 6-0 1/4, 197, 32 3/4 inch arms, 9 1/4 inch hands, an "official" Combine 4.66-40, "unofficially" a 4.56-40, a Pro Day 4.57-40, a 6.92 3-cone, a 4.23-20 yard shuttle, 14 bench reps, a 33 inch vertical, and a 10-4 broad jump. The only thing I've read even hinted at is that he might not respond to tough coaching, maybe being a bit hard headed.
