Round 1, Pick 9- Stephon Gilmore (CB, South Carolina) At one point most people thought the Panthers were going to take Kirkpatrick a cornerback from Alabama. Gilmore is a great corner to play across from Gamble. Gilmore could help the Panthers defense get a lot better.
Round 2, Pick 9- Alshon Jeffery (WR, South Carolina) A lot of Panthers fans wont like this pick. I think he is a great fit in Carolina. If he was eligible for the draft in 2011 he might have been a top 10 pick. I think he’s a steal in round 2.
Round 4, Pick 9- Kheeston Randall (DT, Texas) A need for the Panthers is a defensive tackle. I don’t think it is the biggest need though. Randall provides a great pass rush despite his lack of sacks. He is a good fit for the Panthers.
Round 5, Pick 9- Tom Compton (OT, South Dakota) You can never have enough protection for Cam Newton. He is very strong however he will struggle blocking really strong NFL linemen.
Round 6, Pick 9- Drew Butler (P, Georgia) Last time I made the mistake of not taking a punter. Considering he had 56 punts of 50 yards or greater. A great player only worry is that he will out punt his coverage.
Round 6, Compensatory Pick- Qlivier Vernon (DE, Miami) Vernon is the best player available. He is a good athlete and is good at jumping the snap.
Round 7, Pick 9- Tahir Whitehead (OLB, Temple) A really athletic player. He is safe pick because no one knows if Thomas Davis will be back from his multiple injuries
