Round 1: Quinton Coples (DE, North Carolina). He has a rare combination of size, speed, and technique. I am also a believer in the theory that pressure on the quarterback increases the effectiveness of the secondary. Coples would therefore be filling several needs for us. My second choice would be Fletcher Cox, but his upside is not as great. Imagine passing down situations where our line could consist of Hardy, DT of preference, Coples, and Johnson.
Round 2: Josh Robinson (CB, Central Florida). We need a bigger CB to help with all the big receivers in the NFC South. I think Robinson fits the bill. He is listed at 5-11 and has the looks of an elite athlete. He may be seen as a reach this high in the second round, but I like him better than the other CB's that will be available here.
Round 4:Brandon Mosely (OT, Auburn). Good developmental prospect to provide some depth. Could end up as a RT or LT starter in a few years.
Round 5: Terrell Manning (OLB, NC State). Thomas Davis insurance.
Round 6: Akiem Hicks (DT, Canada). 6'5" 318lbs. I didn't want to wait this long to draft a DT, but we have the personnel where we don't necessarily need one. This prospect has the body, but carries a lot of question marks.
Round 6: Bryan Anger (P, Cal). Nothing needs to be said here.
Round 7: Dominique Davis (QB, ECU). Good backup to complement Cam.
This draft has some similarities to many of the other mocks, but hopefully has added some new possibilities.
