Does Panthers Roster Point To Draft Target Positions?

I saw a couple of days ago that someone used the current Patriots roster to guess their likely 53 man roster for this season, without forcasting any draft picks, which I thought was a little crazy, and wat too early. However, the more I've thought about it, suck a depth chart might be useful in trying to predict which positions the Panthers will address in the coming draft.

Here is a depth chart that I've roughted out, and it was pretty hard to get down to only 53 players. If you disagree, then post the changes you would make, and please post them. I've listed the players with the sarter fist, followed by his backup, and then the 3rd team backup.

QB - Cam Newton, Derek Anderson, and Jimmy Clausen

RB - DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, and a DRAFT PICK (Josh Vaughan and Kory Sheets)

FB - Mike Tolbert (Richie Brockel)

WR - Steve Smith, Brandon LaFell, David Gettis, Keoloha Pilares, and a DRAFT PICK (Armanti Edwards, Seyi Ajirotutu, Darvin Adams, and Chris Manna)

TE - Greg Olsen, Gary Barnidge, and Ben Hartsock, (Greg Smith)

ROT - Jeff Otah, Bruce Campbell (also OG & LOT), and Byron Bell (also RG)

RG - Mike Pollak (Roger Allen)

C - Ryan Kalil, (Zach Williams also OG and Jeff Byers)

LG - Geoff Hangartner also backup C, (Bryant Browning)

LOT - Jordan Gross, and Garry Williams (also OG & ROT), (Lee Ziemba T/G)

RDE - Charles Johnson, Thomas Keiser, (Eric Norwood and Ogemdi Nwagbuo also a DT)

NT - Ron Edwards, Sione Fua, and Frank Kearse, (Jason Shirley)

DT - DRAFT PICK, Andre Neblett, and Terrell McClain

LDE - Greg Hardy, DRAFT PICK, and Antwan Applewhite, (Jyles Tucker)

SLB - James Anderson and Jason Williams, (Kion Wilson)

MLB - Jon Beason (Jason Phillips and Phillip Dillard)

WLB - DRAFT PICK also a MLB, Thomas Davis, and Jordan Senn, (Kenny Onatolu)

RCB - Chris Gamble and DRAFT PICK, (Reggie Sullivan)

SS - Charles Godfrey and Reggie Smith, (Jordan Pugh also a CB and Chip Vaughn)

FS - Sherrod Martin and Haruki Nakamura, (Jonathan Nelson)

LCB - Brandon Hogan and DRAFT PICK, (J. R. Stanford and Josh Thomas)

"Nickle" CB - Darius Butler (also backing up the 2 starting CB's) and Captain Munnerlyn

Special Teams:

LS - J. J. Jansen

K - Orlindo Mare (Justin Medlock)

Practice Squad:

C/G - Zach Williams

OT/OG - Lee Ziemba

TE/FB - Richie Brockel or Greg Smith

WR - Darvin Adams?

MLB - Phillip Dillard

CB - Josh Thomas

S - Jonathan Nelson

I wish they could put Armanti Edwards on the practice squad, to give him a chance to develop as a QB, but he was active for more than 8 or 9 games last season, so he's not eligible for the Practice Squad, just like Jordan Pugh, R. J. Sanford, and Jason Phillips.

Well that's it, 23 offensive players, 27 defensive players, and 3 specilist (LS, K, and P). I listed some players at positions that they may not be listed at on the roster, for instance Sherrod Martin at S (that''s where he's played) rather than CB, and Geoff Hangartner at starting LG (he started at RG last season, but Pollak has started around 40 games at RG) rather than C as listed. I did the best I could on the cuts, and some positions are cut right down to the bone. The Panthers usually carry 4 backup O-Linemen, but all 3 backups play both OT and OG, with both the starting OG's can also play C, I wish I had the room to keep a 4th backup (C/G Zach Williams). If the Panthers were more sure of Derek Anderson, then they could carry only 2 QB's. I would really love to have another open roster spot so they could draft a pass rushing OLB like Sammy Brown. The D-Line is overloaded with 11 players, it shouldn't be more than 10, but the 2 backup DE's can also play OLB. They need 3 NT's, because none of their other DT's are big enough to backup at NT. If the Panthers happen to draft DT Fletcher Cox, he can also slide outside to DE, but your drafting him for what he can do at DT. The Panthers also need to draft a DE who can both pass rush and run stop, at least to rotate with CJ and Hardy, if not start. I really hated to cut the 2 backup MLB's, but hopefully the WLB they draft (Kendricks, Brown or Wagner I hope) can also backup at MLB. The Panthers might be able to get by with only 9 DB's, but 3 of then will be free agents next year, so they need the 10th DE (a rookie) just to have 6 or 7 returning DB's next season.
