March 28, 2012; Palm Beach, FL, USA; Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera (left) is already talking strategy with Tim Tebow.
Though it probably won't be confirmed until Monday we have from a veeeery reliable source the Panthers are negotiating with the Jets for a trade that would include Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart. Purportedly the Jets are asking Stewart and a 4th round pick for the Jets #16 overall pick. Yet the remaining roadblock appears to be GM Marley Hurtneys insistence that QB Tim Tebow be included:
MH: We really need a winner at QB like Tebow...I mean, look how many games he won were Cam only won 6. We can keep the offense the same cause Tebow can obviously run as good as Cam. We'll give them Jimmeh who would be a good Cali boy back-up to their current Cali boy.
So Hurley is playing hard ball and wanting Tebow in exchange for Clausen. So what do you think Panthers fans, we get the Jets #16 and Tebow and they get our 4th, J-Stew and Pickles? Stay tuned as we will have an update Monday. ;)
