WR Greg Childs Has Stunning Pro Day

Arkansas WR Greg Childs (6-3 1/8, 219, 34 1/8 inch atms, 10 1/8 inch hands)greatly improved upon his Combine numbers at his Pro Day today. He ran a 4.41-40 (Combine "officially" 4.55 and "unofficially" 4.50), and had a vertical jump of 41.5 inches (only 36.5 inches at the Combine). With these numbers, Childs is taller (1/4 inch), bigger (by 3 pounds), has longer arms (by 1 1/8 inches), and probably runs faster than Alshon Jeffery in his dreams. As a soph. Childs has 48 catches, for a 18.6 yard average, and 7 TD's, in 2009. In 2010 Childs had 46 catches, for a 14.3 yard average, and 6 TD's, in the first 8 games, before injuring his patellar tendon. That injury, along with having to split catches with Joe Adams and Jarius Wright (likely 3rd or 4th round picks this year), held Childs to only 21 catches, for a 11.4 yard average in 2011, causing nfldraft scout to rank him as the drafts 252nd best player before his Pro Day.
