This is a question that has not been asked a lot but I feel as we get closer to the draft these two players will start getting talked about more once everyone steps off their Poe and Cox high.
I would like to take a look at each of these two corners and discuss with all of you who you believe will be the best CB for us at 9.
Kirkpatrick was before the combine the 2nd rated corner behind Claiborne without a doubt in many people's minds but there are reports that he did not interview well and did not explain his drug charge well and some scouts said he was not trustworthy. Kirkpatrick still remians to be a safe pick as far as talent goes, he is a good coverage corner but is not going to blow you away with his ability to make plays on the ball. But the boy knows how to tackle and plays the run which is something we need from our secondary. Kirkpatrick could also move over and make a very good safety if it does not work out for him at corner.
Whenever people see this guys name the first thing that pops into their heads is 4 kids and drug charges. But this kid has a massive amount of talent and I mean multiple pro bowl talent. I have heard rumblings that he interviewed well and does appear to want to get his life in order. But when you start getting paid and get with all these new people in the NFL lifestyle you start to revert back to your old ways. He plays theball better than any corner in this draft and more of a wrap up tackler than a hard hitter liek Kirkpatrick.
