If you haven't been to Mocking the Draft this week you might not realize we have started our annual SBN Blogger Mock Draft. The main rule is this mock does not allow for trades so I was forced to stay at #9 though I think if the draft should play out this way the Panthers would entertain a trade back proposal.

Unlike the last couple of mock drafts this year I decided to not select who I would want to pick but instead who I think the Panthers will pick if given this same scenario, which can obviously be very different. My pick for the Panthers will be published on MTD at 3pm today so be sure to check it out and vote in the poll and (gulp) let me know what you think. If you listened to Cat Scratch Radio last night you already know who I picked but I would ask those that did listen to not spoil the fun...

Here's a run down on the picks leading up to my selection:

#1 Colts: Andrew Luck - No way they back off now and go with RG3

#2 Redskins: RG3 - Duh, they paid handsomely for this guy

#3 Vikings: OT Matt Kalil - I'm not buying the Claiborne talk either

#4 Browns: WR Justin Blackmon - I'm thinking they want some excitement by the lake

#5 Bucs: CB Morris Claiborne - Sure to be a thorn in our sides for years

# 6 Rams: RB Trent Richardson - Though the Rams seem set at RB the word is Richardson fist their OCs style; I'm not feeling this one

# 7 Jaguars: DE Quinton Coples - The pundit favorite but for some reason I'm thinking they pass on Coples and go with an OT

#8 Dolphins: QB Ryan Tanneyhill - This one makes sense given they must be desperate for a QB at this point

So that is who is off the board Panther fans...you may remember I put up a mock draft late last week with a poll and I have to be honest, I did not go with the popular pick. As much as I like LB Luke Kuechly I don't think the Panthers will take him at #9 as they seem really focused on the DL.
