Panthers QB Cam Newton is a serious contender to grace the 2013 cover of Madden Football Panthers and we must stop it!. The reason of course is because of the dreaded Madden curse. The curse is real, do not doubt it! Every player that has graced the cover has gone on to have terrible seasons the subsequent year, many seasons ending in injury. We certainly don't want that to happen to our man Cam.

So here is the plan, let's concentrate our vote on a specific player or maybe two players. Here's my two suggestions:

• Options 1: TE Rob Gronkowski - the word is he really wants, so much so he posted a video about it. Gronk is certainly tempting the football gods. I say lets give it to him and see if he can break the curse.
• Option 2: QB Tim Tebow - If anybody can break the curse it would have to be the 'favored by the Gods' Tebow. Imagine if Tewbow wins the cover and then the Broncos sign Peyton Manning and Tebow doesn't even start? Of course, that might be considered as an extension of the curse...in that case I would take it anyway!
