A terrifying quote from Ron Rivera circa 2007
While doing some research on Coach Rivera and I stumbled across this article with a chilling quote in the final paragraph.
Talking about his divorce from the Bears coaching staff:
"It is what it is right now" Bone Chilling. Happy Thursday!

Lol.
We all got tired of Fox going to the “Is what it is” well, but sometimes that’s just all there is to say.

There's a difference
Rivera’s was an emotional it is what it is.
Fox never gives a shit so he says it is what it is.
The way I see it, using the term is either a cop-out or a way to avoid blaming someone specifically (growing tired of the phrase "throwing someone under the bus").
In Rivera’s case, he was probably disappointed, and felt that his departure was not justified. He used “it is what it is” to avoid calling someone out.
The thing I didn’t like when Foxy would use it was he usually did so to excuse himself and/or his players from getting better.
We need a nose tackle.
lol I agree
you elaborated my intention
