Just flat out he is, I agree with the logic behind it but be a good person and cut him a week ago, he had to know he was going to do this. Also who cares if he gets a ring if he wins I promise you it will mean nothing to him and it is probably the only chance he will ever get because he might not even be in the league next year. Now he will never get to sit down with his children and his grandchildren and tell them how he was playing for the New England Patriots when they won the Super Bowl over the New York Giants. I know he probably would not have played but that doesnt matter he would have still been a part of history and experience that feeling with his teamates. Sure he can show the ring to his children and grandchildren and say he played for them through the season but what is that man going to say when they ask him “What was it like playing in the Super Bowl Daddy?”.
