Who Would You Draft If Given These Choices? The Finals
If you've happened to follow my three-part series over the past 24 hour period, you should take the time to vote on the finalized selections below. After starting with 27 players, we're down to the top 9, and on our way to the final 3. As in the previous polls, there isn't an option to pick the same position twice, which means that I have deemed DE, DE/OLB, and OLB to be in the same category. I'm sure that you noticed in my previous three-part draft "playoff" series that there were only three position groups to choose from in each of those posts. This allowed me to condense the choices and better determine which players were most popular. Because this final draft has five position groups instead of three, you will be presented with many more player combinations than those we originally began with. I hope you have as much fun deciding which combination of players you would most like to draft as much as I enjoyed putting it together. If you missed my three-part series, feel free to take part in this finalized edition by commenting and voting below.

if we take home martin, ta'amu and spence
that would be ideal, to me. maybe johnson in fourth. markelle martin could conceivably last that long, but… these guys seem in range and it would be a good day’s hunting to land this bunch. i’d still like to see us finesse back into the third or even second for a double dip somehow. hope, hope, hope.
Thanks for your input.
I agree with you. I’d love to get back in the 3rd and/or acquire another 2nd round pick.
also, the scenario i chose would make a big time corner move a must on the market
i had fun picking:)
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
This draft is supposedly loaded at CB and S. We could find a “sleeper” or two in the latter rounds, but that is easier said than done. I’d be surprised if we passed on a CB in the first three rounds.

Give me BCC
We need to protect Cam and have some insurance on the OL for Otah and an aging Gross, Martin does that. I feel like Chase Minnifield is underrated as a prospect and he compares favorably to a young Chris Gamble. Iloka has gotten love as the kind of safety that could shut down the TE/WR hybrids populating the league now, like Jimmy Graham.
That would be our best combination.

an aside...
it would be a little full circle if we let armanti go and drafted a uva corner after new england last year’s dre k in minnifield’s teammate, dowling, with the pick we frittered away to (gulp!) move up to pick him as a wr (ugh!)
ACA
Would turn that defense around in a hurry. Almost went with Martin in the first, but I like Brockers too much.

I'd go Martin, Minnifield, Spence.
I feel like each one of those guys could contribute in a limited role immediately and be eventual starters. If I had to rate them I’d go Draft B, A, C. I love each of those players at those spots in draft C but I think using our first 3 picks to take secondary players would be a mistake.

Wait, I goofed
I just realized what you meant. I thought this was like your other post and each one of these was its own draft (drafts A, B & C). my bad. Ya, BCA or ACA for sure.
"One step at a time"
Although I didn't allow for drafting the same position twice....
in this post, it would most definitely be intriguing to draft Kirkpatrick, Minnifield, and lloka in the same draft. Our secondary would probably be stout for years to come in that scenario. Obviously, this won’t happen, especially with the plethora of quality DB’s in this draft. But, it’s always nice to dream.
I have to apologize: I missed a couple of combinations.
B A B, B A C. I just added it to the options in the poll.
I went with CBA.
Dre for the secondary, Vinny Curry as a situational pass rusher, and Sean Spence, future starter at OLB.

I like how you're thinking here, but I can't seem to get past....
how ignorant Dre K. was to get caught with weed at this important point in time. I’m certainly glad he got caught now instead of later. Maybe I’ll feel differently if he lights it up at the combine.
Maybe I’ll feel differently if he lights it up at the combine.
I think that would be a bad idea. Marijuana use is prohibited at the combine. ;-)

Yeah, I mean, we don't have all of the details behind the situation, and I'm sure that Hivera will look into it.
So, I’ll coincide my judgment with theirs. But, I do feel that Dre is a top ten talent, that would certainly be worthy of our pick.

As you can see so far, A C A is leading in the poll, which tells me that CSR readers....
are intrigued by Brocker’s upside and the idea of upgrading the secondary with the next two picks. I am personally fascinated the most by the idea of adding a NT like Ta’amu because it would mean we were adding a player like no other on our team.

Ta’amu doesn’t play like a 341 pound NT.

You and I were the only ones to vote that way.
Of course, I added that choice late in the process, but I agree that it would give us a well-rounded first three picks.
Can we have CCA as an option?
Draft Dre K for the Safety role.
Minnifield for the CB role.
And get Spence for the LB.
Would add the max to our defensive issues while allowing last year’s DT’s to grow.
I wouldn't mind that at all.
Although I think they should go ahead and see if Dre K can play the CB position first.
