Who should the Panthers pick in the 2012 NFL Draft?
So, below is a poll of rookies who the panthers could possibly be able to draft. Personally, I think it is hard to choose between a WR or a DT. I know we need other WRs to help out Steve Smith, but we also need help on the defense too. Justin Blackmon (if still available) would be a awesome draft for them. It would give Cam a huge target for downfield, and the endzone.
Also, before someone says something, YES IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOME OF THOSE PLAYERS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR THEM TO PICK.

I'm going to leave this up.
But I have to let you know that if you start doing poll after poll, I will have to start deleting them. This is a blog, not a survey forum. Please do not flood the board with polls.

It doesn't have to be your last one.
Just don’t over do it. That’s all. I’m not saying you can’t do them at all. But 3 polls in less than 24 hours is a bit excessive.

We need a CB!!!
If you are giving options, this needs to include the two CB’s
Claiborne and Kirkpatrick
i said avalible
i higly doubt Claiborne will be avalible..ill add kirk

Claiborne is as likely as Blackmon to be available!!!
With all the options you have given, you have mentioned all the guys who will likely fall to us on the 9th pick, except Blackmon.
Any of Blackmon or Claiborne is not expected or even likely to fall to us. However, whoever does, will be the preferred pick as per fans, over all the others.
This would be my list
1. Kalil
2. Claiborne
3. Blackmon
4. Kirkpatrick
5. Jenkins

I would put Claiborne over Kalil
but same list for me besides that
I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was
There is an outside chance Couples will fall

I say Coples.
My 2nd choice would be Jenkins or Kirkpatrick.
I don't want to draft Michael Brockers or Devon Still. Chris Kreider is the future.

I "hope" Blackmon falls to us somehow
But my realistic choice is Brockers or Jenkins.

Call me crazy.......
but pull the trigger on Trent Richardson then trade J-Stew for a starting CB.
Why wouldn't we just draft a CB and keep an established beast of a RB?

If you don't like the CB's there is one reason.
If you feel like Stew would net a better CB than what you think Kirkpatrick would be, that’d be pretty good reasoning.

I wouldn't call you crazy.
It’s probably a stretch, but crazier things have happened. I think Stewart would have significant value on the trade market. I’d cry alligator tears if we lost him though.

I'd be pissed if we lost J Stew for anyone this season.
Mainly because I’m going to be wearing his jersey when the Panthers come to KC.
I love J-Stew as much as the next guy......
but we have to make the right decisions and put the pieces in place in order for us to reach our overall goal…..A Lombardi Trophy.

I don't think dumping Stew does that.
For two reasons. One, running backs trade values are incredibly small. We won’t get a CB equivalent of Stew in a deal. Plus there’s no guarantee Richardson will effectively replace Stew. We’re better off taking a chance on a corner in the draft and not putting one of our strengths in flux.
Yes I'm a dude.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a CB........
It can be any starter from the defensive side of the ball……For example, the jets have a ton of talent on defense, but for some reason they can’t seem to find a consistent RB….Think about how J-Stew would fit and improve that system….causing Rex Ryan to salivate and do whatever it takes to make it happen…..within reason. When participating in last week’s mock draft, James D. was making draft day moves to obtain Kyle Wilson…which I love. But this will allow us to save our draft picks and actually gain an additional pick. I think J-Stew is definitely worth Kyle Wilson and a pick. It just makes sense. And as for the Richardson doubters?…..I love to say, I told you so.

Just what if………it prolly wont happen…but he would be cheaper, and fit the BPA and j stew wont be missed next year too much!

i would never do it. but richardson may turn out to be the only other rb in the league to run with as much power but also the elusivenss that stewie has. they are both beastly.

Expected available
Kalil, Claiborne, Blackmon, and Reiff will all be gone. I say take Kuechly at LB. He is a beast. I know that’s not the most popular pick, so I won’t get mad when we take Still at DT.
getusome sucka!
Where would Kuechly play?
From everything I’ve heard he’s a MLB all the way. Correct me if i’m wrong though

To be honest
I think he could play outside as well. He’s not too big at 235 and he was always around the ball. Just a thought.

Weakside LB is a hard thing to find
If he fits the mold, then yes absolutely he might be an option. But WLB have to be freakishly athletic.

Kuechly
Will be good in the right system as an ILB…He would be like putting Connor @ OLB…He has the instincts, but lacks the athletic ability to make plays in the open field. Would also be a major liability in coverage, just like Dan was…I am still pushing for a WLB in the mold of Sean Spence. Probably a late 3rd or early 4th round prospect at this point. Small, but very athletic. Great tackler. Tough. Would love for him to be able to play behind TD for a season…
Cliff Harris will be there in round 4
There’s your CB and return man. He just needs a driver to get to the games, practices, etc. Round 1 if none of the above are there trade down for more picks later. we have depth issues at linebacker with Conner leaving in free agency and TD can’t stay healthy
