Who Would You Draft If Given These Choices? Part I
I wanted to get a better sense of where CSR nation would like to go with the Panther's first three picks in the draft, and at the same time, give you the opportunity to act as the GM of the Carolina Panthers. So, this is what I came up with.
I've identified 3 positions of need, DT, CB, and OLB, and some of the names that may be available when we make our selections in the first, second, and fourth rounds. It is your job to identify which of these choices below you would like to select if they were still on your draft board. As you will see in the poll, there isn't an option that allows you to double dip(select the same position twice). I am very curious which combination of players will be the most popular choice. The first letter in the poll represents who you would select in the first round. The second letter represents your second round selection and the third sequential letter represents your fourth round pick. Please let me know if you are confused and I will do my best to explain it more clearly. I hope you have fun.
| 1st | A. DT Michael Brockers | B. CB Dre Kirkpatrick | C. OLB Zach Brown |
| 2nd | A. DT Fletcher Cox | B. CB Chase Minnifield | C. OLB Lavonte David |
| 4th | A. DT Marcus Forston | B. CB Josh Robinson | C. OLB Sean Spence |

what's up with the choices
I wanted to vote for ABA, but it’s not an option. I think Brockers will be a better player overall in the long run than the other two players, and we need a DT. So he wins out on need and BPA, but there are a couple OL I’d pick before Brockers like Reiff and DeCastro. Minnifield doesn’t have to be all that on day one. If he’s better than Cap’n and Butler, then I think that’s a solid pick. I don’t know who Forston and Robinson are, but I picked Forston because he’s a DT. I’m not interested in a LB, Spence, who is the next Jordan Senn. I’d rather just keep Senn. If we go this route, (DT, CB, DT), then we’ll need to get OL and LB depth from somewhere, the later rounds or FA. I don’t wanna just act like we’re good to go at those positions. Also, there’s gonna be tons of FAs available who could be real upgrades, or quality depth. I’m looking forward to how we start adding pieces to our championship run.
Thanks for your input. Like I wrote, there is no opportunity...
to select the same position twice in my scenarios.
I Voted ABC (Brockers, Minnifield, & Spencer), But Prefer A Pass Rushing DE In The 1st
I hope they draft a pass rushing DE in the 1st round, if it weren’t for Coples off again on again motor he would be perfect, able to provide a pass rush at DE or DT. If Jared Crick last till their 2nd round pick he could do the same, and maybe Ingram in the 1st round as well.
If you want us to play GM, wouldn't it be easier to let us pick who we want?
Instead of limiting us to a specific list of people?

I may not always be right, but even a blind nut finds a squirrel every once in a while.
Of course, anyone at anytime can play GM....
by mocking their own draft. I changed the title of my post to better fit the scenario I presented.
I went BCA. Kirkpatrick and David are studs who can start right away, and Forston provides more depth at DT.
Cam Newton, when a reporter asks him who will win the Heisman Trophy on Saturday: "I'll tell you Sunday."
Brockers and Minnifield would be fantastic !!
Picking an OT in the later rounds would do wonders …
Definitely ABC
And Spence in the fourth would be icing on the cake.

i guess i like kirkpatrick in first???
i did BAC, but i don’t like this one as much. ta’amu in second had me going. zach brown makes more and more sense to me to cover tight ends on the weak side, but he also seems a lot like anderson to me with less of a violent streak. i want a beast on weakside. actually like spence, there are others in that range i could live with too. ronnell lewis instead of vonte david in the second would’ve changed this draft for me.
ABC
Excellent value and all add depth at positions of need…win-win.
I, personally, like A C B because of the value in the 4th round...
for Josh Robinson. I think this guy is going to be really good.
