Dale Zanine-US PRESSWIRE
Normally we don't talk too much about sports betting here at CSR. None of us consider ourselves experts, and far be it from somebody here to convince you to throw money at such unsure pursuits. This week, however, with potentially five starters out on defense, and the offense still reeling -- is this the time to take a gamble?
I believe it was Socrates who said "may the odds be forever in your favor"... alright, maybe it was The Hunger Games, but the point remains -- this is a good week to take the money you've been socking away for another Jeff Davidson rookie card, and roll the dice. According to OddsShark, the Falcons are just 3.5 point favorites heading into Sunday's game.
Look, I know there are numbers to support such a close line. The Falcons aren't convincingly beating teams, and the Panthers have a slew of close games, but 3.5 points?! Remember, this is a Carolina team who lost by six to Kansas City, and had James Anderson, Charles Godfrey, Dwan Edwards, and Brandon LaFell. Far be it from me to tell you to risk your money... but c'mon!
