Two more to IR, a cut, two signings and three promotions. Busy day for the Panthers front office.
The Panthers cut...wait for it...G Jeremy Bridges. Apparently he wasn't in very good shape. Imagine that!
They placed DE Antwan Applewhite and S Sherrod Martin on IR, which I expected after seeing Martin's injury on Sunday.
Three players were promoted from the practice squad as a result of these three moves:
Running back Armond Smith and offensive lineman Thomas Austin were promoted to the 53-man roster from the practice squad, and the team signed defensive end Mario Addison from the Washington Redskins' practice squad.
Another RB but no defensive backs. I guess we can expect to see more of DJ Campbell.
With open practice squad spots they signed a couple guys to the practice squad, one being a CB many of you were excited about a couple seasons ago:
