Friday Night Debate Thread: Offensive Player of the Year

USA TODAY Sports

The theme for the Gilette Debate Question of the Week is each team's Offensive POY but I think that's a quick debate in Carolina. The offense was sink or swim with Cam Newton's performance. When he played well the offense moved and the team had a chance to win. Who else could you make an argument for? TE Greg Olsen maybe? WR Steve Smith is always important but both he and Olsen depend on the QB's accuracy to be effective.

I better debate might be Offensive POY for the NFC or even NFL as a whole. Both WR Calvin Johnson and RB Adrian Peterson have to be the leaders for OPOY for the NFC and maybe even the NFL as a whole. Of course Peyton Manning has to be in the mix for the overall winner. What is your opinion?

Oh and btw, I guess Johnson has buried the Madeen Curse.
