Silatolu Out Due to Wrist Injury

Jeremy Brevard-US PRESSWIRE

Rookie LG Amini Silatolu suffered a serious injury to his wrist in the win over the Raiders, essentially ending his season.

Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera said it's unfortunate given the rookie was finally putting things together the past couple of games. You can listen to Rivera's post game discussion on this here.

It is sad but I am hopeful he will be ready to go for TC at the end of July. Silatolu easily had his best games of the season in the wins over the Falcons and Chargers. His improved play gives me hope for 2013.

For this Sunday's season ending finale at New Orleans it means yet another back-up, or more like 3rd stringer, gets a chance to step up and make a name for themselves. The Saints are playing well too and will certainly look to pummel the Panthers to end their season on a high note. Seems I heard they are remotely in playoff contention as well so that could be a big factor as well.
