According to sources, the NFL has decided to keep the Panthers/Chiefs game at its scheduled time of 1:00 PM on Sunday following the tragic events that occurred at Arrowhead Stadium earlier today.
According to Joe Person via Jay Glazer, the NFL has no plans to alter the date or time of the Panthers/Chiefs game this Sunday. The team has made its scheduled trip to Kansas City, and unless they hear something different from the league within the next 18 hours they will play the Chiefs at 1:00 PM as they have been slated to do since the schedule came out.
There was speculation that the league would allow the teams to change the date of the game following the tragic shooting death of Chiefs LB Jovan Belcher at Arrowhead Stadium this morning, but the league has decided that is best for the time of the game to remain unchanged. There's always the possibility that the league could change their minds on this, but at the moment there's no evidence that they will do so.
