We have heard a lot of different opinions about our defense, so I decided to take a look at the numbers to see where we rank. For the most part, not bad.

Yards Per Game - 343.9 (15th)

Points Per Game - 23.9 (21st)

Yards Per Play - 5.3 (16th)

Penalties - 31 (2nd)

Forced Fumbles - 6 (30th)

Interceptions - 6 (19th)

Sacks - 20 (11th)

Completion % - 68.4% (31st)

Passing Yards Per Attempt - 7.4 (21st)

Passing TDs - 9 (7th)

Opposing QB Rating - 92.1 (22th)

Rushing Yards Per Game - 114.4 (20th)

Rushing TDs - 5 (13th)

3rd Down % - 43% (25th)

4th down % - 0% (1st)

Of these 15 categories, we rank in the top half of the league in 6 of them. Some were hit and miss, but near the middle of the pack on a lot. Very nice to see the discipline as we are the 2nd least penalized defense. We're also pretty good at preventing TDs and getting to the QB. That completion percentage disgusts me though.
