Rebuilding the Carolina Panthers with CAMolinaFTW

Sadly, we are talking about the off season already. A sign of where our team is going

The Panthers clearly need to change the team up. So... Put me in charge, how much worse could it be then what we're at right now?

To start... Fire Rivera, Chud, and McDermott. Hire a high energy HC, a 4-3 DC that plays man coverage, and a pass first OC that doesn't abandon the running game.

Pretty clear our coaching staff is quite terrible, and our team has taken a step back so remove them all. Rivera looks blank all the time. Chud calls college gimmicks, and McDermott had/has a very talented defense, but doesn't know how to use them.

Jordan Gross, LT - He's getting up in age and our OL is a mess right now, but it's not his fault. But he isn't as good as he once was.

Jon Beason, LB - Beason has been hurt two years in a row and has missed a long period of time. Kuechly has played very well in his place (averaging out his tackles when starting at MLB, he'd be on pace for 192) and our LB corp is fine without him and his LARGE contract.

DeAngelo Williams, RB - Large contract, getting six carries a game in the last six games, and only has a 3.4 YPA this year. We'll be fine without Williams.

Geoff Hangartner, RG/C - Due $4 million in the next two seasons (2013 & 2014), 'Piggy' can leave and we can find a Free Agent to replace him. Maybe bring in a 33 year old Brandon Moore for one season and then draft a guard in 2014.

Ron Edwards, NT - We have been playing a front of (from right to left): Alexander, Dwan Edwards, Hardy, and Johnson a lot as of late, so why even both keep a very old NT? We can either find a new FA on the market or land a NT in the draft (very deep at NT).

Garry Williams, OL - Can we all agree that he stinks?

Jimmy Clausen, QB - Bye bye Pickles.

Let them walk:

Derek Anderson, QB - if we can't find a better/cheaper vet then keep him

Gary Barnidge, TE

Ben Hartsock, TE

Sherrod Martin, FS

Louis Murphy, WR

Mike Pollak, OG

Jeremy Bridges, OL

Antwan Applewhite, DE/OLB

Dwan Edwards, UT

Captain Munnerlyn, CB

Jordan Senn, STer

2013 NFL Draft:

1st - Luke Joeckel, LT

2nd - Terrance Williams, WR

4th - Bacarri Rambo, FS

5th - Will Sutton, UT

6th - Back up guard

7th - Back up TE

Free Agency:

Sign a starting RG and NT, and sign a veteran back up QB. Bring up Armond Smith from the PS and put Poole on the PS. Sign a QB as UDFA.

2013 Roster:

QB – Cam Newton, Vet/DA, & UDFA

I'm building for the future, not now. I don't think we have what it takes to win next year, so building for 2014 or later.
