US PRESSWIRE
This week from the film room we look at the not so pretty play of the Panthers offensive line against the Broncos. The summary: It's not so simple as to point the finger at one player. There was plenty of missed assignmetns and break downs to go around.
We begin with a sack by the NG because the Panthers RG went left and the RT was slow getting over:
It's not just lineman either...other with responsibilities had mistakes:
We move from the TE back the offensive line and some 'rookie struggles':
I think Silatolu will be a good LG at some point but the line as whole was confused this past Sunday.
Now I could fault Newton for holding the ball so long as well. Why he didn't throw that away is beyond me.
The offensive has had better games in 2012 than we saw last week. We can put the Broncos game in the same heap as the Giants game and forget about the,
With Jeremy Bridges not at RG it should reduce the mistakes we see. The Bucs are tough up front though so it may not make much different. I hope they can keep Newton upright so he doesn't lose his mental edge again. We need to see the electrified Cam, not the timid, indecisive Cam.
