Earlier today the Carolina Panthers' Wednesday practice wrapped, and we have a couple of nuggets of information at two key positions.
Firstly, speaking to the media Jeremy Bridges said that he was taking first-team reps at right guard today, which clearly indicates that if the team has their way he'll be the starting guard this week. Last week Byron Bell missed his assignment on two occasions resulting in sacks, and gave up several more QB pressures. Granted, Von Miller wasn't the easiest assignment, but having a veteran next to him will help. Expect your offensive line to be as follows:
Gross/ Silatolu/ Hangartner/ Bridges/ Bell
Not amazing, but certainly better than the group they fielded against Denver.
Ron Rivera also said that Joe Adams had a good practice, which paves the way for the rookie to regain his job as the Carolina Panthers' punt returner, and possibly get a look at kick returner also. On Monday's presser, Rivera said that getting the job was on Adams, providing he could show consistency and stop dropping the ball.
On the injury front, Thomas Keiser was placed on IR earlier today with an elbow injury, which at this point in the season could be little more than a 4-5 week injury they want to free a roster spot for. Several players were limited, but no critical player missed today's practice due to injury. We'll have a full report when released to the NFL.
