Broncos Rip Sloppy Panthers 36-14 as Offense Struggles Again

I can't find a single adjective to adequately describe how thoroughly the Broncos whipped the Panthers.

The defense didn't have a bad day, only giving up 14 points outside of the TD at the end. But once again the other phases of the game gave up points, fifteen of them in all. In the end it was a total 36-14 shellacking.

Newton started the game 6-6 for 1st time in career...he then went 0-5 as the Panthers finished the half barely in the game down 17-7. The 10 point hole was thanks to a Holliday punt return for a TD. But it didn't really matter, the offense could do nothing after the first half TD drive.

0 for 12 on 3rd down for the game says it all.

Throw in another Newton pick 6 and 7 Bronco sacks and you have an offense that was dominated. There's just not much left to say about this from the Panthers perspective. I see no reason to put up a Panther of the Game poll as only Charles Johnson did anything worthy of being nominated.
