As stated in a tweet from Panthers beat writer Joe Person, Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said earlier today that cornerback Chris Gamble is unlikely to play this Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks due to a shoulder injury that he suffered last week against the Falcons.

It's uncertain at this time how severe the injury to Gamble's shoulder is, but it must be pretty severe if it's bad enough to keep him out of action for a week, especially a week that leads up to a bye. If Gamble is unable to play this Sunday, Captain Munnerlyn would start in his place, and he - alongside rookie CB Josh Norman - could possibly be the weakest pair of cornerbacks the Panthers have ever put on the field at one time.

Luckily for the Panthers, they are facing a team in the Seahawks who aren't known for destroying opposing teams through the air, and add in the fact that they are bringing hometown hero Russell Wilson at quarterback; it's unlikely the subtraction of Gamble will make that big of a difference in the outcome on Sunday.
