Moves the Panthers must make either this season or during the offseason

The Panthers just lost to the Bears. It was their 5th loss this season by 6 points or fewer. Losing by 6 points or fewer doesn't sound so bad, but it's happened so many times and in the same fashion that it's become clear we simply don't know how to win games.

Simply put: We need a change

Here are some changes I think we need to make in order to get us over the hump.

1. Clear up the Backfield- Somebody has to go. I love Deangelo and Stewart as much as the next guy, but it's become clear that we can't utilize these two guys successfully anymore. They used to feed off each other, but now they hold each other back. It seems like Deangelo is most likely to go, and we could really use the money to spend on other positions.

2. Somebody needs to take the spotlight off of Cam- Win or lose Cam gets way too much attention, and it's mostly negative. I'm not trying to say we should fire Rivera, but I could definitely see it being beneficial to have a high profile HC to take some attention away from Cam. Maybe there's a veteran player out there that could do the same?

3. Uniform change- ok so maybe this isn't a real need and maybe it doesn't help us win, but I honestly believe a change in uniforms could help give this team a fresh new feel. I'm not talking some kind of Seahawks mess, just an upgrade (think 49ers). I mean at least make the helmets black! Everyone (including JR) knows the new logo would look so good with a black helmet, so why fight it?

4. Front office- I'm not going to go into much detail on this because I can't pretend like I know how to solve all our front office problems. We obviously know we need new talent evaluators (hence the firing of Hurney), but it's also clear that we need better play callers and leaders in our coaching staff.

This is my first post on Cat Scratch, let me know what you think and follow me on twitter (@PanthersNation_)

Some Positivity- We still need to improve our secondary and D-line (especially at tackle), but overall our defensive has really improved from last season (gotta love those turnovers)
