It's a cold, rainy Saturday up here in Toronto. Perfect day to stay indoors and watch some college football! There are a lot of good games to watch today for entertainment, and scouting purposes. Here are some to keep an eye on today:
USC vs. Tennessee at 12:00: Looks like another exciting SEC battle. The Volunteers are 0-4 in their conference so far this season, and they're on the road again this week, but you never know. I'll be watching how Tennessee wide receiver Justin Hunter plays this game - he's got a favorable match-up against USC's defensive backs.
Florida vs. Georgia at 3:30: I'll probably switch over to this game after the USC/Tennessee game, and it looks like another great battle. Keep an eye on Georgia's defense - there's a lot of NFL talent there. Florida also has two talented players to watch out for - safety Matt Elam and defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd.
Florida State vs. Duke at 3:30: Huh? Duke is 6-2? DUKE!?!?! If you're into scouting, this is the game to watch. Florida State has an incredible amount of talent on their team, especially on their defense. Keep an eye on defensive ends Bjoern Werner and Tank Carradine, who are having incredible seasons. Cornerback Xavier Rhodes is another guy to watch out for - he's playing like the number one cornerback in the nation and could go in the top 10 in the draft. He's got great size at 6-2, 210 lbs.
Notre Dame vs. Oklahoma at 8:00: I've been very surprised at how well Notre Dame have been playing this season. Their defense has been lights out so far this year, shutting down some very good offenses. Oklahoma will be a good test for Manti Te'o and Notre Dame's defense.
Late game: California vs. Utah at 9:45: Two players here: Utah defensive tackle Star Lotulelei and California wide receiver Keenan Allen. Both are legitimate top 10 picks, and I'm pretty sure you'll hear their names a lot over the next few months on CSR. Perfect scouting opportunity if you want to stay up late and watch this game.
