Panthers CB Chris Gamble missed practice yet again and per Darin Gantt is officially out for the Cowboys Game. Gamble had just returned to practice but subsequently suffered a set back.

Gantt via Twitter:

So per Panthers.com here is the Panthers starting CBs against the Cowboys:

Notes: Gamble, Beason could miss Dallas game
Cornerback Captain Munnerlyn will start opposite Josh Norman in the base defense if Gamble can't play. In nickel situations, Munnerlyn will slide to the slot and cornerback Josh Thomas will man the outside.

Rivera touted Munnerlyn's steady play at nickel thus far and was pleased with how he and Thomas performed when needed against the Seahawks. "I liked their physicality," Rivera said. "(Thomas) played in 21 plays and graded out as 20 out of 21 positive. He did some nice things. It's a good challenge, and he got all the reps that he needed today."

Interestingly Thomas was drafted by the Cowboys in the 5th round of last year's draft giving us two 5th rounders and a 7th rounded at CB this weekend. It's nice to get that kind of production from these players but might also indicate a lack of talent at the position. It's time for these guys to step up.

LB Jon Beason missed practice again and is very doubtful though not ruled out yet. Beason has a shot at healing and getting back on the field this season. Gamble on the other hand is looking like he will not.

We have other injury news on non-starters, starting with Special teams:

Notes: Onatolu to IR; Gettis practices
Onatolu, a linebacker signed in the offseason to help improve special teams, will be sidelined by a torn triceps muscle. He played in four games, recording three special teams tackles.

We also lost OG Mike Pollack to IR too:

When Gamble couldn't play against Seattle and the Panthers found themselves with an empty spot on their 53-man roster after placing guard Mike Pollack on injured reserve, cornerback Ron Parker was thrust into action at the last minute.

The Panthers had already re-signed CB Ron Parker to the PS so they just called him up. He'll serve as the 4th CB until Gamble returns, if he returns.
