NFL Any Era: He's Ranked WHERE?!?!
So I was looking at this list on espn.com, and I see Peyton Manning at #20. Then I see none other than Tebow at #19. How is this possible? The guy can't throw. Cam had much better stats, minus the win-loss column. Not saying Cam should or should not be on the list, but Tebow higher than MANNING??? Come on!

To be fair..in the video most of the guys said..
that he may not have been a QB, more like a full back or a linebacker. They voted for him because he is just one of those freak athletes with drive an a positive affect on his team.
Rocking the boat and righting the ship! Making the moves needed...Go Panthers!!!
I got that...he has some good traits
But declaring him better than Peyton Manning after 2 seasons in which he was exposed as a quarterback? I just think that this was a popularity pick. I really disagree with where a lot of the players were ranked. I just couldn’t believe that the hype would continue with something of this magnitude. C’est la vie though…
Of course he is ranked higher than Manning

Manning is overrated. He is great, don’t get me wrong, but he has a losing record in the playoffs, and has no speed or great athleticism. Tebow could’ve easily been a TE on the Cowboys teams of the 70s or 80s, or a 3-4 OLB on many teams over the years. Manning wouldn’t even be that great of a QB in the decades where players hit QBs anytime they wanted between whistles. Manning is a great QB, but not in the conversation of the best ever QBs. That’s limited to Montana, Unitas and Brady…and Brady probably doesn’t belong on the list.
Smitty really should be on the list. He’s tough, fast, athletic, and extremely intense.
But here’s the bottom line…how can Tebow be rated higher than CAM? I mean, CAM has more starts, so he has a larger body of work. He’s bigger, stronger, faster, and a better passer. You can’t question his toughness, work ethic or love for the game. CAM could’ve played in the 30s, when Sammy Baugh led the league in passing, punting and interceptions. CAM could’ve played on both sides of the ball in the same game…and dominated. In fact, I bet he’d be a Hall of Fame LB if he played that position in any era. And when it’s all said and done, he’s gonna be the best football player ever.
The hell?
What makes you think Tebow would be a great TE or Linebacker? If all you needed was size there would be a lot more football players
CAM....CAAAAAAAAM

I have to agree with CamNewtonSBMVP
Tebow stands out as an athletic “freak” because of the position he plays. Would you really want to put him up against a Jon Beason at LB? How about a Jonathan Stewart at RB? You are correct that our own Cam Newton is more athletic at the position. Tebow should not be in this conversation, or anywhere near the list. Two years of crap offense…
First, you have no idea how any of these guys would stack up in another era, it isn’t even fair to compare the two. For one, with all of the rules and regulations these guys have to play through today, they are STILL more athletically gifted overall than those old school guys. They are bred into football at a younger age, and are developed at a faster rate. Players 40 years from now will be more athletic than what we have today. It’s just improvement over time of training techniques, coupled with the fact that as salaries rise and stardom spreads among players more kids want to be in the NFL. Just a numbers game, not knocking on the old school.
Now, as far as Manning, I can’t see how you could say any of those things with a straight face. Would you say Marino was overrated because he never won a SB? Like all of those guys you mentioned, Manning changed the position in his own way. A masterful play caller and a genreal on the field; Manning is one of those guys that are few and far between.
Here’s a little tidbit for you, out of 14 NFL seasons, Manning has been a top 3 passing yards performer 10 times. If Manning had not missed this season with an injured neck, he would not be looked at so poorly.
