I've changed two things about the CSR home page banner in the last couple days...one obvious, one not so obvious. What are they? Digital donuts to whoever figures it out.

I'm 100% sure I know one of them, and I'm kinda sure I know the other one.

But I’ll let someone else guess first.

I think I got it!

First, you changed the mantra at the top of the page to read “Cat Scratch Reader -Witness to the Greatest Rookie Season in NFL history”

and you posted the winners of the CSR Fantasy League.

Iranian Air Defense Site: 'Unknown aircraft you are in Iranian airspace. Identify yourself.'
Aircraft: 'This is a United States aircraft. I am in Iraqi airspace.'
Air Defense Site: 'You are in Iranian airspace. If you do not depart our airspace we will launch interceptor aircraft!'
Aircraft: 'This is a United States Marine Corps FA-18 fighter. Send 'em up, I'll wait!'
Air Defense Site: (... total silence)

Chudrooskie!!

No longer the home of the chudrooskie?? He hasn’t been hired yet..but definitely witnesses to the best rookie season in history..CAMMMMMMM!

Bing Bing Bing! We have a winner!

Your powers of observation are keen! The old logo had the cats paw inverted, the ‘thumb’ was down and it always looked like the left hand was on the right arm. Now it’s fixed to be more anatomically correct

I have a copy of the old logo on my laptop...

When I get home I’ll post a before and after photo to show everyone the difference.

Here are the two logos...

AFTER:

P.S. I was right about the football being a different shade of brown. I just never paid attention to the anatomically incorrect paw, lol.

I just remember some Bears fans making a fuss about our logo earlier in the season

Here’s to hoping our Panther continues to hold onto the rock with his newly gained anatomically correct powers and doesn’t turn into Mike Goodson.

2012 Panthers: Fear us, we are anatomically correct!

May I be overtly picky?

Shouldn’t the thumb wrap around the opposite side, and the laces be parallel to the palm instead of perpendicular?

Not that I’m educated in how wild animals grip circular objects.

You mean the ‘How Wild Animals Grip Circular Objects 101’ course was not available at your college?

by ERL on Jan 25, 2012 12:19 PM EST up reply actions

Well, no...because a football isn't a circular object. It's a prolate spheroid (in simple terms: egg-shaped).

Is it a transplant thing then? Every UK transplant in the US that I know personally (which is plenty considering my company’s HQ) are rabid soccer fans and attempt underhanded insults at football by calling it hand-egg.

But it is indeed circular…

Wrong again sir!
a sphere: used in Association football (also called soccer in some countries)

You are referring to a:

a prolate spheroid (‘egg-shaped’)

Never mind the fact that dumbasses like me can write wiki pages ;)

I was going to say it seemed like it had something to do with the picture! I was going to guess that the sheen on his fur had been edited to look more detailed or something. Good stuff!

Even now it doesn’t seem that obvious. Either that or my mind is playing tricks on me! One or the two.

Since you made me focus on it, I just noticed our Panther is actually holding a high school football...

The pro balls don’t have the white stripe on them.
