Typically when you hear "NFL Player" and "TMZ" in the same sentence it's normally not going to be good. With previous off-field issues like Pacman Jones and Michael Vick becoming part of the national consciousness in part to TMZ having a knack for finding players at their worst. I'll admit, when TMZ contacted me with the title "Cam Newton- Off-Season Ballin' in Hotlanta with Rappers" I was a little scared to follow the link, but ultimately it was another case of Newton handling himself perfectly given the circumstances. As TMZ said
Even though it's the off-season ... we're told Cam was partying in mid-season form -- he and Common tipped back bottled water all night.
That's right, bottled water. Our QB ensured he didn't step out of line, or do anything that could bring his name or team into disrepute. Unfortunately for detractors they'll have to keep waiting for Cam to screw up, something they keep pining for with bated breath.

I expect to remember my rule about reading most article comments...
It’s like a train wreck. I don’t want to read them, but I can’t look away. I read one then I keep reading, hoping for the next comment to say how bad the previous comment was, but it rarely ever happens. It usually just gets worse.

I saw this picture on twitter
and was smh but I’m glad to hear he is having fun and not acting crazy. This is his first offseason as a rich man…..and emerging icon (I couldn’t help it)
after looking at those pictures it seems like one of those 30 and up parties
everyone looked old in that picture. Doesn’t seem like a young crowd at all.
Yeah if Common was the headliner,
I don’t see the 18 year old or the tough guy crowd being there. I would say your more mature connoisseurs of hip hop (ie 25+) would be the ones that are more into his introspective style.

To be honest Newton has been off the radar off the field. Kid must be looking at film and ordering out and playing tons of video games cause you really don’t hear much about him. In this media TMZ driven world you should see more pictures… but really there isn’t much to talk about other than he went out one day….

Like, seriously. He is damn near a perfect human being. He’s handsome, popular, extremely talented, level headed, a leader, hard-working, and the face and future of the Carolina Panthers. I honestly feel that Cam Newton is some superior being and that we should be praying at his feet.

but statistics tell you that partying with rappers in “hotlanta” will more than often land you in jail or in the hospital. im not saying go be hermit, but please God, Cam be careful who you hang out with and where!

Cam has said the season is not over for him until after the championship game is through. He trains as if he is playing in the Super Bowl. Which I don’t believe will be to long from now.
