NFL says no major changes to uniforms when Nike takes over
For those of you dreaming of all black Panthers uniforms or any of the other Oregon-esque changes we've seen mentioned, don't get your hopes up. The major changes that Nike has talked about are in the type of fabrics used and the performance side of the uniforms, not the looks.

Nike being the new manufacturer doesn’t mean the uniforms have to change, but if the teams want to, they can. It’s still certainly possible that the Panthers uniform next year is different, it just means that the panthers want a change.
Exactly. The teams own the logos, not Reebok.
Now, it could be used as a good excuse for teams to change, but they don’t have to.
Also, if players change numbers (please Cam go back to #2) they don’t have to buy out Reebok’s inventory like in years past because of the switch.

granted, we could alter up a few things, but I’m sorry some of the Nike designs in the NCAA are just downright retarded looking (anyone remember those VT uniforms from a couple seasons back?? Or the Oregon ones that looked liked someone had vomited a bunch of glowsticks onto a canvas?)

I think Carolina's overall design will stay the same as long as JR has a say in the matter
In 17 years the only drastic change has been the addition of the blue jersey. However, talented players and team chemistry win games, not the looks of an uniform.

I think the uniform could undergo some minor changes...
But I don’t think they need to go all out and change everything for the sake of change.

I remember there being a grey jersey, like a decade ago. But it just sorta faded out.

for me they are very very plain
I’m not looking for Nascar jump suits or even something like what the cowgirls wear, but a little something more than a blue stripe down the leg would be nice
So now we can stop getting links to the fake concept jerseys from 2 years ago
But while we’re on the topic of uniforms, what I think we should do is get a sleeker font, instead of the standard block numbers we use now. I also think it would look pretty good if we added a stripe down the sides of the jerseys.

Can they change helmets too? I personally would love to see some black helmets. Matte Black would be even better.
