Update: Buccaneers NOT to hire Chip Kelly
Editor's Update:
Apparently Kelly had a last minute change of heart and I'm sure Geoff Schwartz is glad.
"His heart is with college football and Oregon and he's no longer being considered,'' Mark Dominik said Monday, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
END UPDATE
According to multiple sources on twitter. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have hired Chip Kelly, former coach of Oregon. Chip Kelly went 34-6 as Oregon's head coach. Kelly uses any speed as an advantage. He likes to run a spread offense. For those of you guys that haven't seen Oregon play, they score a lot and they score fast. He will Join former duck LaGarrette Blount.
Chip Kelly has won
Pac 12 coach of the year (2009, 2010)
Walter Camp coach of the year (2010)
Sporting news coach of the year (2010)
AP coach of the year (2010)

He knows Oregon is about to get ripped by the NCAA.
Like USC and Pete Carroll all over again.
So how many more teams is Chud interviewing with?

I think every team that interviewed him has a coach
i also think the only team left is Indy, and they dont seem to be interested.

Interesting, to say the least

Knock another name off the wall for Chud!
As for the hire (which isn’t official yet, btw), well I’ll just say that it’s an interesting one.

Kelly already knows how to handle paid players.
No difference from his Oregon job. Seamless switch, although there is a cap in the NFL…
all right not losing chud this year

I wonder if this would change the way they draft
Like if they’d go for an impact player on offense for their new scheme, which could let Claiborne drop…. But I’m dreaming.

NFC south seems to becoming a spread confrence
With Kelly likely bringing some form of his spread to Tampa, Carolina’s option thing and whatever the hell it is that the saints run, only the falcons seem to run a traditional “pro style” offense. Doesn’t really mean anything, but it’s interesting.
who else is still looking at chud?
i know st louis, jax, and now the bucs arent looking anymore but how likely is it that we keep him now?
99% for 2012. As for the future, Chud's days in Charlotte are numbered.

Chip Kelly has decided not to take Buccaneers offer. “Its a no-go,” said a source close to Kelly. “His heart is still with Oregon.”
