I am thrilled for Cam and his selection as first alternate, and the high likelihood he will get to play in his first Pro Bowl this year as a rookie, but it shows how much this roster is built on favoritism over substance. This game is more about who are we most interested in seeing play, rather then who deserves to be here on performance.
Cam had a historic rookie year and if I was a NFL fan outside our market and had not been able to see Cam play this year, he would be one of the players I would want to watch play, so I get why he was voted in, but what Stafford has done this year is incredible, and is deserving of Eli's spot as a reserve, let alone first alternate position. Stafford threw for over 5000 yards, had over 63% completion percentage, 41 td's and 16 int's. In any other year he would have been in the discussion for league MVP.
So once again, I am thrilled for Cam, and I understand people are intrigued by him, but it seems to me Stafford got a raw deal, and I wonder why that is?
