it was so nice to see defense played at a high level…Saints are one hell of a offense though 5 turnovers and it took a last minute touchdown bullet from Smith to Davis to win the game. Crazy

It was good watching the Niners come through in the clutch

Especially after taking advantage of the Saints early turnovers. I heard on ESPN the Saints have a lot of things to do with their players. Since Brees wasn’t resigned, they may lose a couple of key players.

Mine too!

9 of 26 proof is in the pudding. Poor old Fox ball in the NFL that ’s what you get mediocre 9 wins 9 losses like we used to get here. So more thankful for coach Rivera being here now. Just reminded me what we were under Fox. Plus his post game press conference was good ole Fox being vague and cloudy with his answers. GO PANTHERS FUTURE IS MUCH BRIGHTER NOW.

The Saints window is starting to close after last nights man handling.

by Smokewagon on Jan 15, 2012 12:26 PM EST up reply actions

i dunno what Window your looking at..As long as Brees and Payton are running that Offense they always got a shot. Jimmy Graham is only going to get better as well…scary thought. I hate the Saints but there window is far from closed

They are going to loose alot of key personnel.

They said this morning that they never gave Brees’ an extension so they are already in a bind with the cap so Colston, Nicks, could be gone with a couple other casualties so they can keep Brees.

by Smokewagon on Jan 15, 2012 12:31 PM EST up reply actions

Im not saying they are going to win it all next year but as long as they have Drew Brees in Sean Payton style offense they will contend. It will just be for the wild card…Panthers are going to win the NFC South next year baby!!!!!

I agree with that.

I just think this was the Saints big chance to get another shot at another title. Greatest offense scoring all of that stuff. But after yesterdays game the other teams will make adjustments to stop the Saints by hitting them in the mouth. I could see a real backwards step for that team starting as soon as next season that is why I am saying their proverbial window is closing. I can be wrong but a loss like that always seems to knock a team back a step or 2 for upcoming seasons.

It will be.

Another thing the Saints seem a little soft when the Refs let the the defense play. The Saints are built for a fast track surface there is no doubt about that but if they are built just for home now they want be going no farther no more especially when they have to play more road games outdoors. It is who they are now.

Payton looks like he is dying. He has old man sag in his face.

and...

I hope he stays in that rehab during the whole season next year. Panthers to the Superbowl baby!

But on another note, I remember going to the Saints blog once during the season and some girl suggested or insinuated that Payton is attractive-looking. LOL, I was like WHAT??? Just because he’s done a good job with the team doesn’t mean you have to pretend to be blind and serenade him with lies.

Ed Reed is a very classy guy.

He could have destroyed Foster, but he did all he could to try and ensure that Foster safely went down after he got him out of bounds. A lot of defenders wouldn’t do that.

I know

I personally don’t drink, so I’ve asked people what was appealing about it. I’ve had people tell me they don’t like the taste and you have to get used to it, which I don’t get. And I also never understand the “Man last night was so fun, I don’t remember a thing.”

Most underage drinking is about being cool. If it’s legal it’s not super cool and people won’t care to do it.

If you don’t like the taste, I don’t see the point in drinking.

by JDeLong42 on Jan 15, 2012 5:32 PM EST up reply actions

Most people dont enjoy the taste, but can tolerate it

most people also dont drink to get drunk. Some do you look cool but usually it is a mood/personality adjuster. Alcohol is a depressant so it reduces anxiety. People usually feel more relaxed and calm after a drink or 2. obviously it can have different effect, especially at high doses.

Nicks was the 29th pick in the 2009 draft.

Besides the fact that he should have been picked well before that, it proves you can find a #1 receiver even after four have already been taken. Darius Heyward-Bey, Michael Crabtree, Jeremy Macklin, and Percy Harvin were all picked before Nicks and he’s the best one of the bunch.

Id love to see 9ers Ravens superbowl. Harbaugh bowl part 2! I really see us as the 9ers next season. With our offense and our favorable schedule ( Raiders, Broncos, Cowboys, Giajts and Seahawks all in Charlotte). And our offense clicking more and full off season and OTAs..

Plus factor in that Saints will lose a lot of FAs so they can re sign Brees, Bucs going nowhere fast and Falcons back in rebuild mode, the stars are aligning for us to win the divison.. Think its crazy? Tell that to the 49ers and Packers who both came off 6-10 records and both won their division the next season.

Not only will we make the playoffs but we will win the division! Pre ordering playoff tickets now in Charlotte lol

2. The Falcons are not in rebuilding mode. Do they have a lack of draft picks? Yes. But Ryan is just entering his prime, Roddy is still a top ten receiver, Julio Jones in his second year, they aren’t rebuilding.

Looking back at the Saints and Falcons draft trades, they are very limited in their options. The Mark Ingram trade was pretty bad for a mediocre running backs.

In regards to the Falcons, I dont see Abraham coming back, and Ray Edwards has been a free agent bust. This will be good for the Panthers since the Falcons defensive scheme is predicated on getting pressure with the front four.

That team lacked heart

Manning does not play defense so to go out there and stink up the joint was unreal. I really think everyone on that Colts team lacked any kind of motivation.

Definitely

But the Colts have had more playoff appearances than the Giants AND Peyton has had more time in the league. Just saying

You can make the argument that Eli handles late pressure situations than Peyton.

Close to 7 grand a year in student loans. plus whatever overdraft I eat into. Easiest money you ever get though. Have to earn so much before you start paying it back.

The interest builds from day 1.

So you’re accruing interest in the 2nd and 3rd year despite not being able to earn any money.

Is there a significance or meaning behind the captains patches on the jerseys? I have seen black ones with one star highlighted or those like Eli’s where its gold. Answers?
