But I really have nothing but respect for Drew Brees. He is a phenomenal QB and has persevered through some very tough struggles his first few years in San Diego to be one of the greatest in the league.

As I said in the pre-game stuff, it’s all about turnovers and Newton consistently driving the O down the field.
We can’t stop them for toffee. Even if the entire D was healthy we’d really struggle to do that. We’ve no chance with the patchwork team we’re running out there.

I avoid other team’s blogs altogether to avoid the temptation to “set them straight”. If you are going over to another blog, it’s usually just to tease and talk a little bit of trash. When the game’s over, one team won and the other lost. Someone has to say, “well, you were better this time”. I don’t like giving other team’s fans that satisfaction. There are some teams whose fans I…like, I guess…more and will be willing to give them their due. But not the saints. So instead of going over there and “look[ing] like a petulant 5 year old”, I’ll stay here and be your petulant 5 year old, Mr. Dator.

Well....let's talk positives
1) Cam is amazing. 4000+yds passing, 500+rushing, 14TD rushing and 20TD passsing. He has more tds than int’s, and as a rookie in this league, that’s impressive.
2) Double Trouble was double trouble. DWill rushed for 800+ yds on 5.4ypc and JStew had ~750yds on 5+ypc as well.
3) Steve Smith was reborn. 70+rec 1300+ yds and 6TDs
Here’s to hoping 2012 brings some defensive positives as well

It’s really the only exciting thing that we have to look forward to in the short term.
It doesn’t necessarily give us the 8th or 9th pick. There are 3 teams right now that are 6-10, and KC will either end up 6-10 or 7-9. So, we’ll have a pick somewhere in the 8th-11th range.

Honestly, though.
Look at their offensive roster. Brees could light it up with the guys at the bottom of the depth chart. True, it’s not just Brees. He just makes the depth look that much better. I truly believe they could dump half of their roster to pay for Brees and still be incredibly successful.
Wayne, Clark, Addai, Collie, Garcon – all good-to-excellent players. They couldn’t do crap without Manning. A QB isn’t the only thing you need to win in this league, but it plays a HUGE part in a team’s success or failure.

This team has to have a hard look
at itself during the offseason. I know we’ll be getting guys back from injury, but there are also some mental issues that need fixing. The apparent give-up after halftime is a worrying coaching point.
And Cam HAS to improve his accuracy and leadership presence for this offense, and by extension the team, to take the next time…otherwise we would be St.Louis Rams of 2011 next year.

I think a problem is
that as great as he is, Cam is still a rookie. Those guys on are on the low end of the totem poll, so I think Cam may be apprehensive to start walking up to guys on the side line and say “what the hell?” (not necessarily in that manner, but you get the point) We see guys like Brady, and Manning do that stuff all the time because they have built that experience and reputation. I think as Cam goes into the off season, no longer a rookie but now a vet, he will be a more stoic leader.
I agree that is part of it.
I saw an interview with Gronkowski after a Pats game. They asked him if Brady ever yells at him when he messes up and is that why he is so good. He said yes, Brady yells at everyone.
