He gets his shoulder turned and allows guards to get to the next level on just about every down. He had an AWFUL season. No other way to sugar coat it. He may turn out, but so far he’s been terrible
This is what I see too FF.
He’s been awful this season.
I don’t usually jump on the backs of rookies, but Fua has been spectacularly bad. The fact that the D has come on leaps and bounds since his injury says it all really.

That last play was a complete gift.
I could have easily thrown that TD and I certainly wouldn’t have given up that TD if I were playing safety. Brees has all day to do as he wishes. Not to take away anything from Brees, but he’s had excellent protection throughout his stint with the Saints. Come to think of it, no HOF worthy QB would earn that distinction without a great offensive line.
